ActiveBatch® Extension - Cognos BI

Cognos BI users can improve their business intelligence initiatives by using ActiveBatch to integrate and automate the management of resources and processes associated with their data warehousing and BI environments for improved data quality and reporting. ActiveBatch's Integrated Jobs Library supports multiple IBM Cognos business intelligence job steps, including the creation and update of IBM Cognos analytic cubes, the execution of reports and more. IBM Cognos users will achieve a new level of control and execution through the use of ActiveBatch's core scheduling capabilities that include constraints, event triggers, monitoring, alerts, audits and more for the successful execution of workloads that integrate IBM Cognos with other data sources.

The ActiveBatch Integrated Jobs Library allows users to build single or compound workflows into centrally managed jobs and plans that can include other BI and data warehousing solutions, including IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter, Netezza, Teradata and SAP BusinessObjects. For example, if your business uses applications such as DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter or databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata in conjunction with IBM Cognos BI, you can integrate those processes with non-IBM processes to upload data, run reports, and distribute them via email.
