ActiveBatch
®, is designed to support a variety of reporting
needs enabling organizations to deliver relevant information, faster, in a multidimensional
format that makes your data easier to interpret for improved decision making.
The ActiveBatch OLAP Reporting database is a separate high speed database, either
Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, offering improved capabilities including access
to a variety of output formats. An OLAP cube and series of built-in reports are
included with ActiveBatch (in SQL Server Reporting, Crystal Reports, Excel etc.)
to report on data in both list and graphical form that allow for improved analysis.
The ActiveBatch Built-in Job Library provides templated job steps for an error free
approach to incorporate Reporting Services into any end to end workflows.
An ActiveBatch ETL job is made available and can be customized to run using a schedule
or be triggered by events when real time updates to the Reporting database are required.
The ActiveBatch ETL job extracts historical instance data from the transactional
to the Reporting database and creates the OLAP cube, where the aggregations are
populated. The ActiveBatch Reporting Services Manager constructs the Reporting database,
creates the ActiveBatch ETL job to support data extractions, and deploys the built-in
reports to the Reporting server.
ActiveBatch reporting is also available by accessing of the transactional database
that is part of the executing ActiveBatch system. This reporting function is often
used in list format and allows for reporting on over 120 fields that are contained
in the database.
ActiveBatch Reporting Services both OLAP and its traditional reporting system are
an integral part of the ActiveBatch system and is included with the Job Scheduler,
at no additional fees, so every enterprise using ActiveBatch can improve both access
and capabilities through the inclusion of a robust reporting system thereby improving
analysis using multi - dimensional reporting in a consistent format making
it easier to present and interpret data within the organization.
